7 Modern Field Training and Tournament Center
After Altınordu Football Club was incorporated on August 8, 2012, a rapid infrastructure development initiative was launched. Football facilities should be located in areas with clean air quality, away from industrial zones, and accessible via major transportation routes. The northern and eastern regions of Izmir are densely industrialized, while the western region is a dead end and ends in Cesme. Therefore, the southern part of Izmir was chosen for facility development.
In the charming and touristic town of Selçuk, located 80 km away from the center of Izmir, a football facility with 3 neglected fields has been leased for the long term.
The drainage systems and field surfaces of these 4 fields, covering an area of 70,000 square meters, have been renovated. One of these fields has been refurbished as an Italian Limonta Sport brand natural granule synthetic turf field for use in extremely rainy weather.
The other two fields have been constructed with natural grass. Within the next two years, 3 more natural grass fields have been built. Our first team uses the last 2 fields. All fields are of standard dimensions.
Lastly, a 50x75-sized artificial turf field has been constructed. Thus, we have a total of 7 fields at our Selçuk Ismet Orhunbilge facilities.
Ismet Orhunbilge, after whom the facility is named, played continuously for 15 years at Altınordu from 1963 to 1978. He is a legendary football player known for his strong character and sportsmanship.
As mentioned above, two of our fields are used by our first team, while the other 5 fields are used for weekend activities of Altınordu Football Schools. Altınordu Football Schools (AFO) operate in more than 200 cities and districts throughout Turkey. With the slogan "Turkey's Altınordu," our goal is to be "Everyone's Second Team." Reaching the naturally talented children and discovering them is one of our most important missions. Almost every weekend, we organize events such as "Children's Football Festivals," "Tournaments Between Our Football Schools," and "Elite Age Group Selections" at our Selçuk Ismet Orhunbilge facilities.
Additionally, our club's gift to our hometown Izmir, the "International U12 IZMIR Cup," is held at these facilities every April. This three-day tournament features a total of 72 teams, with 36 of them being famous European clubs and the remaining 36 being professional clubs from our country and city. The "International U12 IZMIR Cup" is widely recognized as a highly regarded tournament throughout Europe, and we take great pride in it.
Our facility also includes a "Dormitory Section" with 78 beds. Naturally talented children who are liked/selected during children's festivals and AFO tournaments are invited to training camps from Friday evening until Sunday evening during school time and on weekdays during vacation time to monitor their development.
