Born in 1943 in Izmir, Hikmet Orhunbilge started his football career at Hilalspor in 1958. He joined Altınordu's youth team in 1959, and after completing his military service, he played for Altınordu's senior team in the 1963-64 season. He scored his first goal with a header in a match against Hacettepe in October 1963, which ended with a 2-1 victory for Altınordu. Together with his brother İsmet, Hikmet Orhunbilge served as Altınordu's team captain for many years. Known for his speed, agility, and "back-heel" move, he left his mark on the history of Izmir and Turkish football. After transferring to Tirespor in the 1973-74 season, Hikmet Orhunbilge returned to Altınordu in the 1974-75 season and played two more seasons for the club. He played a total of 14 years for Altınordu. Hikmet Orhunbilge was not only admired for his football skills but also respected for his exemplary personality. He is married and has two children.
