Adil Bümen, known as "Sarı Adil" (Yellow Adil) among fans, was a versatile athlete at Altınordu Sports Club. In athletics, he won İzmir championships in the 800 and 1500 meters, and achieved third place in the relay race at the Balkan championship. Outside of football, he won İzmir championships in volleyball and basketball with Altınordu. He was a regular player for the İzmir representative team and played alongside Sait Altınordu in the 1936 Berlin Olympics as a national footballer.
Adil Bümen started football as a goalkeeper in high school in 1926, joined the Altınordu youth team in 1928, and played as a goalkeeper in his first two matches with the A-team in 1929. Although he generally played as a halfback, he also played as a left winger and center forward, eventually becoming the captain. He wore the red and blue jersey for a continuous 19 years (1928-1947) and remained a part of the community throughout.
He tragically passed away in a traffic accident in June 1968.
